David Beckham can afford to hand over his new salary to charity, but so can many more. As he can afford to do so, it is really a good PR exercise, but one which will benefit people in need.
An example has been set, so what about the wealthy footballers, bankers, etc in the UK, you all earn more than you need to live. So come on all you wealth creators, give to charity, I do believe it is also a legal tax avoidance scheme.
